Knightmovers - Specialists in removals from properties that have limited or awkward access

One of our quad bikes in operationAt Knightmovers we have carried out many moves that require a different approach. Properties where access is either some distance from a public road or in some other way restricts access to our larger vehicles have become a speciality for us. Our expertise in this area means that we can provide a great service for even the most difficult to get to places.

We can implement a range of solutions for people (and businesses) that have limited access that restricts our large removal vehicles from getting close to their property.

In the past we have used many different vehicles to achieve this. They include: 4 x 4 vehicles, quad bikes, box trailers, open trailers, box vans, motorised trolleys as well as a lot of muscle power, before being able to place the contents in our large removal lorries.

Examples of our difficult access moves

The two photo galleries above show how we moved the owners out, and the new owners in, to a remote house in a corner of Gwynedd, North Wales, way up beneath the mountains of the Snowdonia National Park. The map below shows details of the property and its distance from the road.

A map of one of our more difficult removals 1 - Limit of how far our large removal lorries could get
Our large lorries could only get to this point which is 200 meters from the main road (orange on the map). All contents were taken to and from this point by a large 4x4 towing either a box or open trailer to the narrow bridge 250 meters away.

2 - Narrow bridge
Most of the contents of this move had to be manually lifted across this bridge (too small for anything but a quad bike - even the trailer had to be lifted across). This bridge can be seen clearly in some of the photographs and stands some 20 feet above a wild mountain river.

3 - Narrow track
This track rises steeply for 250m through a recently felled forestry plantation. Almost all the contents were transported by an open trailer towed by a quad bike. The track had another small slate bridge on it's route.

4 - The property
This charming cottage is situated over 1/2 mile (0.75km) from the main road.
